Is there a need to Prove God?

I was watching last night “Proving God” in History channel, where a religious group spent millions to build an advance scientific observatory studying the universe and its origin, trying to clear issues that separates science and divine.

The goal is undoubtedly great. But, suddenly a question comes to my mind…

Is there really a need to prove God, just to convince people of His existence?

One of the biggest claims of discovery in science this year (if not this century) is the CERN’s Higgs Boson also known as the ‘God Particle’ a project that cost billions and counts decades to complete. I’m not going in details but the basic about this project is proving that a universe can be made without a creator although it is not stated that way, the idea that it shows says it all.  I first read this issue around July this year.  I already heard about CERN few years ago, the project was also shown in National Geographic Channel, and did a part in the movie ‘Angels & Demons’.

There are indications that CERN will publicize their findings before the end of this year.

Although it is not the first time it was aired, I believe that the timing of re-airing the documentary ‘Proving God’ is a stir to establish people’s mind and protect their understanding about God from whatever the CERN will reveal in the future.

Again, “Is there really a need to prove God?

If so, then what is this verse for?

“Heb.11:1: Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

I believe in predestination, I believe that everything that is happening in this world is part of God’s great plan, whether it is good or bad from our point of view, there are things that is beyond our comprehension what matters is do we have the faith to submit to His will?

Whatever the CERN will expose or any other discoveries in the future may bring, all I need is the Holy Spirit to enrich my faith. The more we human push to prove God, the greater my faith is growing, It just shows that beyond every discovery  is another question, and it will go on routine until God reveals himself on His will.

Why look for God if He is already in you?
